Description
The Turtle Conservation and Education Center was opened in 2006 and has since harnessed the power of tourism to raise funds to continue their conservation efforts and tourism. One of the aims of the center is to educate visitors about how they can help the effort by not consuming turtle products. The management of the center has put in effort to ensure that the number of turtles in Serangan stops dwindling. Considering that Bali was once a haven for these majestic sea creatures, there has now been an increase in egg hunting and illegal turtle selling and therefore the population of turtles has significantly decreased. At the Turtle Conservation and Education Centre, visitors can get up close with many turtles as they are cared for by the friendly staff and volunteers who work here. A great place to take kids, as they will learn about conservation as well as being able to feed some turtles. Visit Taman Ayun Temple Taman Ayun is a beautiful temple complex located in Mengwi, Bali, Indonesia. The name 'Taman Ayun' translates to 'beautiful garden' in Balinese. It is known for its impressive architecture and serene surroundings. The temple was built in the 17th century by the Mengwi dynasty, who were the rulers of the Mengwi kingdom. It served as the family temple of the royal family and a place for religious ceremonies and offerings.Includes
